Telma has been a wonderful addition to our family. The girls adore her, and I feel very comfortable with her. From day one, she impressed me with her ability to quickly adapt to our routines, really listening to what are my needs/request and accompanying the girls without any problems, which is not an easy task some times when each one demands different attention. She has a very wide skills to enroll with the kids such a play table games, reading, drawing or painting, go out for a walk, take them to the play park or the beach. Telma is a very creative person. A very keen woman to do activities and explore activities, balance at the same time with a calm personality transmits a lot of security to both the children and me as mum. Additionally It is great she can communicate in either Spanish or English, that made my girls more comfortable to talk with her in both languages. I would definitely recommend her without hesitation to any family who is looking for someone trustworthy

Before starting your search, take a little time to figure out what your needs are. Full-time support? Part-time care? On-call help? Make a wish list of necessary and preferred characteristics so you can apply the right filters to our web tool.

We’ll provide you with a list of available sitters. Then you can personally screen and vet promising candidates by asking for references and organizing an official interview. If you find a babysitter that meets your requirements, set up a trial period on Sitly to get in touch with them directly.

First things first – message the prospective babysitter or nanny about any past childcare experience they may have, and ask about references from prior families. Then you can check in with the other parents to see what their impression was of the sitter.

Next, come up with a list of questions that will help you determine if the sitter will be a good match for your family’s needs. First, you should make sure to comply with the minimum wage or hourly rate, established by law. Additionally, each babysitter’s rate is determined by several factors – including their level of experience, the number of kids who need looking after, and how far they need to travel for the job.

In order to come up with an appropriate rate, you should first take into account the minimum wage for your area. Then, you might consider offering a higher rate of pay to keep things fair if you’re asking for any help with things like tutoring or chores around the house - or if you know your kids can be a handful for even the most patient of sitters!
